Still waiting for a Google Wave invite... Thursday, 29 October 2009 18:32

Google WaveI was and I still am very excited about Google Wave. I really believe that it will change the internet a lot when it finally becomes stable and available for public. Several months ago, people had the chance to register for an invitation for a developer account. The sending of invitations has started a few weeks ago.

What exactly is Google Wave?

W00t?! You haven't heard of Google Wave, one of Google's latest awesome projects?! Google Wave has got the potential to become the revolutionary, innovative web product of the next years. If people are willing to accept it as an alternative to eMail, the web will change dramatically, because it brings things you have always thought about, but never dared to ask about! Google Wave is a web-browser based real time "conversation and anything else" client. By standard you can have chat conversations with other people in real time, which means if you type something in, your conversation partner will see your typings immediately, even if you rethink and change them! The great thing about this is the enormous flexibility and extendability. Everybody who wants to may develop so called Robots or Gadgets, and since the project is OpenSource you can grab the API and or the code and develop your own independent wave web applications. Google has also announced to build a "Google Wave Appstore" where Wave-developers can distribute their creations (and earn loads of money).

I really look forward to having being sent an invitation for this innovative product. Honestly, I don't want to wait any longer, I have to get one! If anybody of you guys has got one invitation left, please hand it to me, because I am still waiting for a Google wave invite...
